What to Expect During Your Therapy

From the initial consultation, our priority is to create a welcoming environment where you feel comfortable expressing your thoughts and emotions. We work with you to build trust and rapport, ensuring therapy is a positive and empowering experience.

Personalized Assessment

We start with a comprehensive assessment to understand your goals, struggles, and strengths. This may involve conversations, questionnaires, and evaluations when needed.

Individualized Therapy Sessions

Each session is structured yet flexible, helping you develop coping strategies, process emotions, and set achievable goals.

Collaborative Progress & Support

Therapy is a collaborative process, and we keep you actively involved every step of the way by providing ongoing guidance, practical tools, and support to help reinforce progress both in and outside of sessions.

Psychoeducational Testing Available

Do you or a loved one struggle with learning, focus, or cognitive challenges that impact your daily life, work, or academic goals? For many, these difficulties often go undiagnosed for years, leading to frustration, self-doubt, and missed opportunities. But clarity is within reach.

At Weston Family Psychology, we offer comprehensive in-house psychoeducational testing for both children and adults to uncover the root causes of these challenges. Our evaluations provide a detailed understanding of your strengths and areas for growth, empowering you with actionable strategies to achieve success in all areas of life.

Why a Private Practice Evaluation

We understand that therapy is an investment – both emotionally and financially. In order to provide you with the highest level and most specialized care, we are not affiliated or “in network” with any particular insurance panel. By being an “out of network” provider, we are able to ensure that we are working from a clinically compassionate space without having limitations or influence from insurance companies, which can often stipulate what type and the length of treatment clients receive. Further, as an “out of network provider,” therapy sessions do not limit your treatment to a diagnosis, which can become part of a permanent medical record. Lastly, and most importantly, being an “out of network” provider allows us to maintain confidentiality from third-party companies.

We are able to provide you with a “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Depending on your plan and deductible, you will often receive a percentage of what you already paid back to you, which can help offset the out-of-pocket cost of therapy.
