Lisa incorporates a trauma informed perspective into her practice, providing a compassionate and empathetic foundation for healing. She employs an eclectic approach, tailoring her methods to fit the unique needs of each individual. Lisa believes that the therapeutic experience can help you explore your emotions, gain insight into your challenges, process past experiences, develop and learn new coping skills, and work towards your goals.
Lisa is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness and uses this in her work with adolescents/teens as well as clients who can gain improvement with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
Additionally, Lisa utilizes The Guided Self Change (GSC) model, an evidenced based, short-term treatment designed to help individuals with mild alcohol and/or substance use disorders decrease or eliminate their use.
Lisa has a remarkable ability to establish rapport with her clients and understands that building a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for bringing about positive changes in their lives.
